VuV12 | a private villa near Stockholm, Sweden
A modest and apparently rational villa to fit in seamlessly with its surroundings, but with a little twist.
VuV12 is one of those designs that seem totally clear at first sight, but then you realize that something is different. It is not just two volumes meeting, it is not just an orthogonal shape. Something else is going on. Something that makes you wonder, something that grasps and holds your attention.

Sometimes you might as well give it a little twist. Something unexpected, something that might cause a slight disturbance or discomfort. Something that triggers the senses although you are uncertain what it is. You know there is something to it, but just can’t put your finger on it.
ovttastit
ovttastit | Northern Sami for ‘to unify, to combine, to consolidate’
When you love specific elements of various items, you can bring these together – combining and unifying into something entirely new and different.
ovttastit is the first design and built by rissávárre, characterized by its simplicity and natural materials. It has a wax finish for the timber to breath, but most of all, to let the player feel the texture that is the true nature the instrument – to really connect.

Design is so much more than shape and colour. Its texture, the surface quality or ‘feel’, has a dramatic impact how an object or space is experienced. It provides another level of connection with the user, one that goes much deeper than just visual. Natural materials have their own texture, one that we as humans connect with. The texture of a design is an essential part of the overall experience.
rissávárre font
The design of the rissávárre font meets the ambitions to create an elegant and characteristic font that dares to be a bit odd.
In contrary to general believe, great variety can be achieved within strict rationalization. Musical scales consist of only 12 different tones, but there is an endless amount of variation in music. In design, rules and restriction drive new innovation and rationalization certainly does not limit.
